At Hearth Stone, Eastern Star’s dedicated Memory Care unit, we offer 18 private rooms that provide these seniors with a warm, comforting, and supportive retirement setting that feels more like home than a hospital. 
Hearth Stone was specifically designed to address the unique needs of these residents, with programs and an atmosphere created just for them. We recognize that memory impairments affect so much more than just the individual, and maintain compassion for family and loved ones as well.
For each Hearth Stone Memory Care resident, we develop an individualized program of care that allows the opportunity for "success" rather than "failure". Our objective is to project a true feeling of home, while upholding the security, comfort and dignity of each individual afflicted with Alzheimer’s or dementia. With a solid understanding of how these diseases affect a person, we provide structure, routine, and care based upon—and appropriate to—each resident’s status on the Global Deterioration Scale for Assessment of Primary Degenerative Dementia. Hearth Stone is a certified CCDI (Chronic Confusion Dementing Illness) facility, and offers a high staffing ratio to provide the personalized and consistent care that each individual requires.
